Letter 3/4/2013
Hola familia! y claro, las otras personas que sigan leyendo mis cartas!
Well,
to be honest it was definitely a really tough week, lots of people just
werent home and others chose not to come to church so it was all around
pretty rough.... To be honest, with the few lessons we had this week,
the spirit was really strong and the people, very open to the words we
said, but chose not to once again...come to church....
I mean, this area has so much potencial and i can see so many
of our investigators making the decision to be baptized, just... they
cant be baptized and arent going to have good testimonies until they
come to church, so its really getting sad for me...
I guess im to the point where all i want to do is see people
come to christ and when they choose not to, i cant help but just get...
well... a little sad...
There is however a light at the end
of the tunnel... we now have 3 returned missionaries that have all
gotten home within the past month and all are really excited to see
their friends and family get baptized, so we are now working with all of
them, and just yesterday, one brought us with one of his friends, but
the funny part is, his friend wasnt even there but we taught the 3
others in his family and it was a great lesson with the spirit really
strong.... Really did inspire to be better about preaching the gospel
when i get back, because he told the people, "youve seen me grow up from
when i was little, and honestly i over the past two years have grown to
love even more this religion im in and all i want is to you all to
enjoy it as well"...
Im hoping that soon we`ll see a lot more changes in this area,
and im hoping before the month ends to see another 4 more baptisms, but
well see, i just need to have a little bit more faith...
Well
i love you all a ton, and you all should see, here i am waking up in
the middle of the night freezing because its about 50 degress and i wear
sweaters during the 80 somethin degree days... wow... im super
mexican... i never thought itd hit me, but it has...
les amo mucho! Siempre estan en mis oraciones y solo pido que dios les cuida y les protege....
Elder Smitheram
