Letter 8/9/2012

Familia! Well how awesome is that everyone got to go to McCall. Sounds like you had a really fun trip and have to say i am just a little jealous. Also i hope Tanner had a lot of fun and learned a little bit more about what it is to be a missionary at MTC Camp. Well this week was pretty fun. We baptized 2 kids, and they are just extremely smart and just to be honest, some of my best converts. The family was so greatful too. They told me everytime im at their house they are going to give me a bunch of coke to take home. Which is awesome because their dad works for the coke factory, so that made me pretty happy. Also weve been teaching and preparing a lot of people to be baptized. Two of which are another two kids that told us they want to be baptized. The only problem is, we ate with the mom the other day, (who is a member) and shes the harder one to help understand the importance of baptism, but im sure she'll crack here pretty soon, shes a really nice lady. But we set a date for this next saturday, for the 2 kids. Also this week we went to go visit a girl named Lupita. Shes 21 and has 2 kids. Her, her husband and mother in law were all there, and we taught lesson one to her. I cant even describe how amazing the lesson was. We talked about the atonement and about the restoration, and in the end we asked her to say the prayer. She said no. I thought, "Theres no way she can say no after such a spiritual lesson", so i asked her again and said, alright we'll just listen. She kept saying no for like 5 min, and then her little 3 year old boy who was on her lap asked her if she would pray for him. She then started praying, and prayed one of the most beautiful prayers ive ever heard, and was crying all throughout it. Afterwards everyone was crying and her husband, and little boy were all just hugging, and I just had to take a mental photo at that moment, because it was honestly what the mission is all about. Helping families ALL come to the gospel. Well not much else has been happening this week. Everything is going good and we are seeing a lot of success in our area and of course things are hectic in the office, but all is well. Love you all so much, and thanks for all the letters!
